Printer ink expiration dates

Just like every item out on the market, printer ink products have expirations dates.  Are you aware of the expiration date on your ink jet cartridge?

Why would you become concerned with an expiration date?  If your like every computer owner, there is nothing worse than running out of printer ink right in the middle of a major product on a weekend, holiday or late at night.  However, that means stocking up on a particular cartridge that fits your printer.  This could mean that these ink cartridges might end up sitting on a shelf in your home or office for an extended amount of time.

Our "advice" is to look at the expiration date on the box when you buy these ink jet cartridges.  Ask your self a few questions like how long could this cartridge could actually be stored, is there 100% customer satisfaction from the company you buy this cartridge from, and can you return the printer ink product if it doesn't work regardless of the expiration date?  These are all legitimate questions.  Just remember not to buy it unless you expect to use it before the printed date.  We truly believe that the expiration date on an ink jet cartridge means that the cartridge will NOT work after that particular date.

Don't mess with the expiration date on any ink cartridge.  It's not worth taking a chance that your printer ink products could fail you when you need them most.

If your cartridge doesn't work you could try putting the ink jet cartridge in hot water to loosen up the ink inside.  However this rarely works so don't count on this method to safe your printer ink products.  We've found that the reservoir turns bad and won't flush the water in or the ink out.  Sorry!
