The Fargo Cardjet Series is the first inkjet card printer. It requires its own Fargo ink cartridge and its own PVC cards.

It sends an alert when the card or ink supply is running low. This top-loading cartridge delivery system offers full-color images and text on non-glare cards. New infrared blocking ink: A new formulation of ink is now available in CardJet SmartLoad ink cartridges.

This new formula offers great resistance to smearing, a particular advantage when printing bar codes. Using the same technology, Fargo has developed blank card stock as well as magnetic stripe card stock for CardJet.
